EE Beyond, also known as Elaine Faye, is an American soul/ R&B Los Angeles based talent whose influences run from Lauryn Hill to Erykah Badu to Janet Jackson and everything in between. Faye has one of those poetically tragic stories that instilled within her resilience, strength and power from a young age. Her father went to prison when she was seven, and seven years later, her mother passed away. Out of these experiences came her desire and need to write and share her emotional journey through music.
Originally hailing from the Seattle area, Faye relocated to Los Angeles to attend the Musicians Institute after competing in a nationwide contest and winning one of three available full ride scholarships. Since then, she’s been working non-stop on perfecting her craft and sharing her music with the world. Her credits include performances at Coachella, and Bonnaroo as well as a private grammy event, collaborations with Sony, MTV and NBA Labs including a live performance in a Sony commercial, and over 50 song placements and TV and film to date to name a few.
Shortly after releasing her first EP under her new music project EE Beyond in late 2018, Faye found what every woman dreads and fears: a lump in her breast. A month later, Faye was diagnosed with stage two invasive ductile carcinoma. Currently Faye is still fighting the good fight to become a breast cancer survivor. Though much of her focus and energy is devoted to her health and survival, she still performs and continues to create music, as always, from the identifiable place of life experience and raw human emotion.
