Hailing from Virginia, Eddie from Ohio is comprised of vocalist Julie Murphy Wells, guitarist Robbie Schaefer, percussionist Eddie Hartness, and bassist Michael Clem.
Formed in 1991, the band was the main attraction in local music venues throughout Northern VA. They eventually toured the country, produced nine albums, and received the prestigious Wammie award for Best Contemporary Folk Group from the Washington Area Music Association. Their unique “manic strumminess” infectiously sold over 150,000 independently produced CD’s all over the nation.
In 2005, Julie was diagnosed with cancer, and the members of the band pursued individual interests. In 2022, the Eddie from Ohio band ended suspended their limited performances with gratitude and love towards their fans.
