Bassist (and guitarist, singer & occasional keyboardist) Whynot Jansveld has performed, recorded and/or toured around the world with The Wallflowers, Richard Marx, Butch Walker, Matchbox Twenty, Natasha Bedingfield, Sara Bareilles, Kate Hudson, The Weepies, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Brett Dennen, Gavin DeGraw, Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi, Jonatha Brooke, Wayne Krantz, Vertical Horizon, Crash Test Dummies, Harper Blynn, David Mead, The Damnwells and many others, and worked with legendary producers like Linda Perry, David Kahne, Neil Dorfsman, John O’Mahony and Butch Walker, for whom he has become a first-call bassist. In 2023, The Wallflowers backed up Eric Clapton, Stephen Stills and Roger McQuinn for Clapton’s Crossroads festival. TV appearances include Jimmy Kimmel, James Corden, Conan O’Brien, Jay Leno, The Today Show, Craig Ferguson, Ellen, Regis & Kelly, Good Morning America, MTV’s Hard Rock Live and the Radio Music Awards.
He says of his music mastering profession, I go for big, beautiful and dynamic, not overly processed or hyped, and I only fix what I feel needs fixing. A simple concept to be sure, but apparently elusive enough that I have made some people very happy so far, including Dave Matthews Band, The Wallflowers, Train, Butch Walker, Richard Marx, Jewel, The Gaslight Anthem, Martin Sexton, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Elizabeth Cook, Andrew McMahon and Ingrid Michaelson.
